Abstract guidelines

Submission opens 1st May

We invite you to submit an abstract.  

We will initially prioritise original research that is not yet published, followed by original research that has recently been published.  

We also encourage submission of abstracts for “research ideas”, and we will prioritise those which show potential for collaboration across the GRIN network.  

Abstracts should adhere to the following format:  

  • Please state all authors and their affiliations. 

  • Please indicate which author is the presenting author. 

  • Maximum word count for the main text of abstracts: 250  

  • Please indicate whether your abstract reports (1) ‘original research (not yet published)’, (2) ‘original research (published)’, or (3) ‘research idea’.  

  • Structure for ‘original research’: background, aim, methods, results, discussion.  

  • Structure for ‘research idea’: rationale, objective, design, discussion, and next steps.  

Please indicate which of the following clinical areas best fits with your abstract:  

  1. Respiratory tract infections  

  2. Urinary tract infections  

  3. Point-of-care testing  

  4. Antibiotic stewardship  

  5. Other, please specify
